Type-C to lightning cable not working for newer devices.

I have a lightning to usb-c cable.

The cable works fine when charging and data transferring on older models (iPhone SE 2016 & iPhone 7).

However it doesn't work on newer devices (iPhone 11 & iPhone 12 Pro Max).

Any guesses why is this happening? Maybe it has something to do with the fast charge that the newer models support?

Hello Portokalas,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, your Lightning to USB-C cable isn't charging your iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 Pro Max. We'll do our best to assist.

It's hard to say why the Lightning to USB-C cable isn't charging these devices: About the Apple USB-C to Lightning Cable

It appears they are supported for fast charging: Fast charge your iPhone

What happens when you attempt to charge these devices? Do you receive any errors? For example, "USB Accessories have been disabled" or "Accessory may not be supported"?

Hoping to hear back, take care.
