Do you mean you need more space on your internal drive? In that case, move large files, e.g. your photolibrary to an external drive. Here’s how to do it https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201517
Important: before doing this, perform a TimeMachine backup to another external drive
Afterwards: newa TimeMachine backups include the external drive you use for e.g. your photolibrary
