Message is “sender address invalid”

I’m trying to add my Comcast email to my new iPad. Above is the error message when sending an email. We have spent several hours trying. Maybe it’s the password? Should that be the Comcast password or Apple password, although we have tried both. We have tried following the Apple support instructions without luck. Thank you.

If you have specified a sending email address in your iPhone or iPad Mail setup that isn't your Comcast email address, specify your Comcast email address; the address you receive mail at, when it is sent by others to the Comcast server you are using.


Settings > Mail > Accounts > select your Comcast account > Account > Email {make sure this email reply address is your Comcast email address, and only your Comcast address}


Failing that, check with Comcast Support, as they might or can be more familiar with what is triggering this.
