Would a full-screen privacy screen protector affect face ID?

I've heard of some people saying clear full-screen screen protectors slightly delay face ID so I just wanted to know if anyone has ever had any issues or noticed any significant delays when using a full-screen privacy screen protector with face ID?

Be careful not to cover the “notch” and it shouldn’t affect Face ID.
