Privacy screen protector

Does full screen privacy screen protector affect face id?

i am having issues with face id as it sometimes does not recognize my face and this happened only after applying privacy screen protector.

I tried deleting my face id and reconfiguring it thinking it might adapt to changes but even after successfully configuration it fails to recognize sometime.

It only recognizes when i hold my phone closer to my face.

Has anyone faced same issue or it’s just me?

In my experience "privacy covers" that limit the viewing angle of a screen to "straight on" accomplish this my altering the light-frequencies that reach or move from the screen. FaceID depends on the incoming light-images which have been altered by that privacy protector.

As long as there is a camera cut out on the screen protector it will work fine… I normally holy my phone about 2 feet away from my face and Face ID works fine. If the screen protector covers the whole front of the display without a cutout then it might not work.

I know all invisible shield and Belkin screen protectors will work fine.

I hope I answered your question!
