iphone 12 pro has much less reception than XS in same location. Dropped calls, failed calls, garbled voicemail, etc. Worst phone I have ever had! Have replaced SIM card, had diagnostics at Apple Sty. What else can I do?

Thanks for your follow up. Great to hear you have taken your device to the Apple Store and ran a diagnostic. What were the diagnostic results? As per the resource we recommended previously, If you can't make or receive calls on your iPhone, "If you still can't make or receive calls, restore your iPhone as new. If restoring doesn't fix the issue, contact Apple Support, then follow the steps to complete your request."

I had a 45 minute appointment at Apple Store, running all diagnostics. My husband’s XS gets better reception in the same locations. (For instance 3 bars vs 1 bar for the 12 pro)
The dropped/failed calls were all due to carrier issues. My phone was reset. But the iPhone 12 Pro has weaker signal than the XS. Not just in our home, but driving various locations and comparing.
