No, it is 100% factual. Although the vulnerability does affect some Macs, which is why an update was also released for Macs.
Pegasus is not a virus. It is a way of installing spyware developed by NSO Group, a spyware vendor who sells only to government agencies. So unless you expect to be a target of police, a repressive government, or, in some countries, political rivals you are not at risk even if you don’t update.
I’ll try this again, there have bee worms and viruses that affected computers around the world including the “I LOVE YOU” virus. Look it up it is interesting reading and shows things were actually worse at one time. Today it is more about malware/spyware and there is quicker reaction, like iOS 14.8.
No.
As it’s not a virus, no, it can’t spread.
I may be wrong, but that had to be sarcasm.
Nope, just a reaction to how some sources are portraying this and how some are interpreting it.
Question. If you have an issue installing does that mean you've been affected already?
Unless you're super important, like a high ranking government official, high-profile journalist, you really never had anything to worry about to begin with.

What issue do you have installing the update?

Never heard of that happening.
First it isn't a virus, second your iPhone cannot get a true virus, third if you update your iPhone to 14.8 you aren't susceptible to the vulnerability. The sky is not falling and this vulnerability doesn't impact computers.
