Won’t set date and time
I bought an Apple TV 2 and it won’t set the date and time

Normally it would get the date and time from Network Time servers on the internet. Either the device doesn’t have a functional internet connection, or your home network blocks (firewall) the connection attempts to Network Time servers.
- If you didn’t do the intended setup, then first reset to factory settings, as advised for new users of second hand devices.
- Restart both the router and Apple TV. Most often that solves internet connectivity issues.
