How do you get Siri to stop announcing each next song and the artist in Apple iTunes? I never told it to start that.. it just started all by itself, and there are no settings I can find to get it to shut up so I can just listen to the music..

We can see how constant song announcements would disrupt listening, and reviewing the Related Article Use Siri to play music or podcasts was a great idea. This could be happening for a couple of reasons, and we'd like to help you isolate the issue further.

First, check to see if VoiceOver is enabled on your iOS device, since this feature provides audible descriptions of what's on your screen. To make sure this is off, tap on Settings > Accessibility > VoiceOver.

Next, tap on Settings > Accessibility > Siri, then check to see if Always Speak Responses is checked. If so, uncheck that voice feedback option, to see if that helps.

If the issue persists, consider how you're using your iOS device when this happens. For instance, are you using headphones? If so, are they wired or wireless? Are you connected to CarPlay? Try disconnecting headphones or other Bluetooth devices to further isolate the issue.
