only recently opened iCloud files appear in Spotlight searches Documents stored on my iCloud drive do not show up in Spotlight searches uunless they've been recently opened. This does not seem to be a problem that is solvable by re-doing the index (in the way often suggested for Spotlight issues). It seems to relate to the status of the file as it is stored on the iCloud drive when not being used. This seems a major problem for those relying on Spotlight and full-text searching of all files on one's computer. Can anyone help me here?

Why iCloud files SPECIFICALLY don't appear in Spotlight I'm searching for the specific mechanism why Spotlight starts failing to search iCloud files and not the generalized information about Spotlight system preferences, Search Results, Privacy, etc, etc which don't apply in this case. Is it just another Apple bug? Once knowing why Spotlight fails to search iCloud, then it would be reasonable to be able to fix it so it doesn't do that.

How do you browse, search or find files on iCloud Drive? I have iCloud open in Safari. I see no search too to locate files. How do you search?
