Overheating While Charging And On FaceTime

I upgraded from 11 pro max to a 12 pro max last month. Why is my new phone overheating while on the charger and while on FaceTime not to mention it’s lagging while hot.

Perhaps this is a Faulty Device?:

This seems to be a faulty device, being it is overheating. If this were me, I would have this looked into by Apple. You have a one-year, out-of-the-box, limited-warranty. So, contact Apple Support. I would think the issue here is that the processor is being overrun due to a misconfiguration in the iOS.


So, to Get this Serviced:

You would either:


Contacting Apple Support:


Why the Wait:

Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due do lots of calls. And this makes sense, because with the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
