Using Airpods to record on GarageBand

I am desperately trying use my airpod pros to record audio in GarageBand on my MacBook Pro but it will not work. This message keeps popping up saying “no input source selected” even though I have my airpods selected! I go into preferences and audio and even there it says my input device is the airpods. Yet it won’t let me record. If I switch over to my MacBook mic it records just fine. None of the guides or forums have helped.

Hey, Jimmywanner98.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that you'd like to use your AirPods microphone as an input device, but are unable to do so.

Check the settings in the following support article to make sure you have given microphone access to Garage Band: If you can't record audio after installing macOS Mojave or later - Apple Support

Let us know if this helps! Take care.
