Band of light

My work on my macbook is very light. No editing, no long screen time. Yesterday I noticed a band of light (width about 5cm) on my laptop. Is this issue only with my laptop or has anyone else faced the same issue? Any solutions anyone? My laptop is just 1.3 years old with minimum work load. I'm really scared.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.5

On an Intel Mac you can —

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

on the M1 SoC you can —

The best you can do if you have an issue— equivalent Shut down, close the lid 30 secs+ , reboot as normal.

If no resolve try SafeBoot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262 to sort anomalies.
