Apple Watch and epilepsy detection

Hi,

I’ve never posted before and I have no idea if Apple even monitor any of these discussions, but here we go…

My big sister passed away last week, she had epilepsy and she was only 38. I too have epilepsy and as you can imagine it’s an awful disease to live with, both for yourself and your family. She died after having a seizure in her sleep, and she lives alone which in this situation greatly reduces your chance of survival. So here’s my question…

Should/would Apple consider developing a feature for Apple Watch which detects a possible seizure in the way Fall Detection detects a possible fall?

I have no interest in pitching or trying to make money, it’s not even an original idea. There are several third party apps but none of them are especially good. I’m just asking the question as to whether Apple could/would/should consider it?

This strikes me as being a (presumably) fairly simple feature to develop and I’m sure it could save lives.

Thanks for reading

Steve
