iphone plugged in all night every night. connected to wifi. lots of space. go to software updates. phone says software is up to date ios 12.5.4

The iPhone 6/6 Plus are not compatible with iOS 13 or higher.

...and if you are worried about the ios14.8 security patch, your phone does not need it.

my wife's 6s+ has ios 14 on it. I have a 6+
