Messages bounces up and down in Dock but does not open
Messages bounces up and down in Dock but does not open. No problem with previous versions.
System: Messages 14.0 on macOS 11.6 (20G165) Big Sur.
How to fix it? Thanks!

Wow! Fixed! You are a genius!
I shut down the Mac (I think that it is better than restarting), yet it did not fix it.
Then I shut down again and booted in Safe Mode (Shift key while booting) and it FIXED it. Great!
Then I shut down again and booted normally and it remained FIXED. Awesome!!!
