M1 Mac Mini and Bluetooth stability issues - Still
Hi Everyone,
I've had my Mini for a few months now, and I was aware of some of the early BT issues. However, I'm still experiencing major audio drop-out when using my BT headset (a generic BT stereo headset - identifies itself as "RPA-BTEB22").
When using this same headset paired with my iPhone 8, I have ZERO audio issues. But I had originally gotten this headset for use with my Mini. Which, I cannot do unless I put up with numerous audio skips (often, every few seconds) and complete disconnects (more then 2-3 every 30mins) when paired with the Mini. Now, delete the pairing on the Mini, and pair it with my iPhone, (1) I get battery charge information, and (2) more importantly; I can listen to audio until the battery is dead, about 6 hours, with NO issues.
I'm currently forced to use WiFI for networking (as much as I hate it); landlord won't authorize any holes for LAN cabling. I use a Logitech MX Mac keyboard and matching MX Anywhere 3 mouse; which before 11.4 these where so unstable I had to use the Logitech USB dongle; but since 11.4+, it been only a few issues and they are mostly around sleep/wake. And powering off and on the keyboard seems to clear that up when it does happen.
I've followed the previously posted Bluetooth troubleshooting guide of "reseting the BT module", deleting the plist file, repairing the KB, mouse, and headset. This doesn't change the headset audio issues and since the update to 11.4+, I haven't had any KB or mouse drops.
Does anyone use BT and WiFI and NOT have issues on an M1 Mini ? Would it be appropriate to open a ticket with Apple about the above issue?
