Touch screen not working

I have a Dell P2314T touchscreen from 2015 that I've been using with my 2015 Macbook Pro via USB. It will connect to my 2019 Macbook Pro but no touch data comes through. I'm using Wireshark to confirm that no data is being sent when plugged into the 2019 mac as opposed to the 2015 mac. Also tried this on an identical alternative 2019 mac, also no data transmission. What's weird is that I also tried another Dell P2314T touchscreen from around the same 2015 era and it works fine on all machines. So just the one screen won't talk to newer macbooks, even though it pops up as a connected USB device. Ideas?

I’m actually using the Touch-base demo at the moment, trying to decide if I’ll buy it. Works great for the one Dell screen on all my Mac computers old and new, but the other screen doesn’t send the touch data to the touch-base app on my newer Macs, and I’ve switched USB cables and hubs and everything. Not sure if this is an issue with the screen itself (most likely?) or if the Touch-base driver could be amended somehow to make it work? Although, Wireshark confirm no data is being sent, so I’m not sure what the Touch-base drive could do about that. I don’t understand enough about how USB connections work to troubleshoot.

to tell you the truth neither do I - i don't even own a Dell touchscreen monitor.... i had a regular Dell monitor when i bought my used 2010 Mac Pro5,1.. but that, along with my 2010 mac pro has found a new home... and i was able to buy a newer 2012 mac pro.. i had an LG 43" 4k monitor but i had an unfortunate accident with that.. couldn't afford to get it fixed or to buy another one-2nd hand/used or new... it was, at the time ,about $750.. so i now have a 32 inch LG 4K I monitor which, not as big or as feature rich, is cheaper and is the best I can afford now so I go with that… You'd have to talk to someone with more experience and understanding of Dell touchscreen monitors on the Mac, which is pretty much anyone else… I'm just a Mac user here same as you

not really.. Dell has officially said that they don't support Mac products in any way shape or form, And Apple said that they don't support Dell products e.g. they are not Mac compatible… So if they work on your Mac yeah it's a cr**pshoot at best. so.. a 3rd party solution/software/application/driver is needed.. this link is the only one i could find to make your Dell P2314T work on your mac 100%.. here's the link to the software.. http://support.touch-base.com/Documentation/50567/Driver-downloads and you can try it before you buy it.. it's about $110 to buy..
