Not if your M1 mini is not directly connected to the iSP device, but rather your own appropriately configured, modern router using Network Address Translation (NAT) and/or WPA3 wireless security.

Ethically they should not but in reality they do.
One of many reasons to own your on modem and a separate WiFi router. The separate router can be set up so that the outside world has no idea what's on your local network, unless you get one of the new "nosey and snoopy" systems that require you to login into an account on some server anywhere in the world in order to set up your router and not only that, can only set up with a mobile app on a phone or tablet. Unfortunately, these are becoming more and more prevalent as the vendors are convincing people that it makes things so easy to set up an all the while allowing them access to your system.
Yes.
With an ISP router, your Mac addresses i.e. local LAN addresses of your devices are viewable. Nothing at all to do with passwords, account IDs etc.
Generally speaking, the ISP can only see your modem and not anything past that.
I assume that both ID’s, Ethernet and Wi-Fi, are masked or hidden through NAT. If I install a router with WPA3 wireless security protocol, do I have to type the ISP networkpasword during the installation proces of the router ? Thanks for your help.
I did some search with your advice in mind. I found the ASUS RT-AX58U using setup with GUI interface through router.asus.com. Also the netgear Nighthawk RAX43 providds a no-App setup. Are these suitable to keep the ISP outside the Mac mini ?
With your confirmation in mind, before setting up my Mac mini, the security on all the different levels: system (firewall), data (filevault encryption), apps (icloud keychain), networking (WPA3 security protocol) seems more then solid. Am I save using a proper password choice within a new apple-id account ?
