I have the IPad Pro 2016 but I would like to buy a Apple Pencil, I’m pretty sure when I spoke with someone before they said the 2nd gen will be what I need which is good because if I use the Apple Pencil enough I will eventually think about upgrading my IPad. I was just wondering if I buy the pencil will I loose some of the features that the Apple Pencil has?

If you own a 2015-2017 of 2019 iPad Air 3, all of these iPad models use the original 1st generation Pencil with the top/uppef chrome, silver band/top cap with the Lightning connector protective, magnetic cap.
NOT the newer 2nd gen Pencil.
Both Pencils charge and pair differently.
DO NOT purchase the newer 2nd gen Pencil for that older iPad.
