MacBook Pro won’t restart after

After installing the latest update (macOS Big Sur) my Mac was running slowly for a few hours and then shut off. It will now only reboot in safe mode and when I try to restart normally it loads 3/4 of the way flashes green and jumps back to the beginning of loading bar and freezes. Hoping for a solution.
