How do I set up icloud for windows without the Microsoft Store?

How can I set up iCloud for windows without having to download from the Microsoft Store. MSN automatically requires one to log in to buy from their store. They automatically list a request for a user i.d. (e-mail address) that hasn't been used since the early 90s. I don't seemingly have any opportunity to let them know and therefore I have had to by-pass all msn communications for several years. I would like to manage a iCloud account on my desktop. It is not a problem for my iPhones and iPad.

If you have a computer running Windows 10 you will have to resolve whatever issues you have with Microsoft, as that is how you download iCloud for Windows. If you are running Windows 8, I believe it's still possible to download iCloud for Windows directly. But not with Windows 10.

I believe you are right. I have had this problem with microsoft for many years and have yet to figure out a way of getting around it. Trying to communicate with them about this problem is almost impossible. Thank you for taking the time to answer the question.
