Disconnect from Wi-Fi when I leave home

Hello,

This happens from time to time: I have my phone connected to TP link Mesh X20 (my home Wi-Fi), when I leave the house for awhile, and come back, the connection is not restored though it is still showing the network part of my favorite network. my IOS is 15. I started to face this when I upgraded to IOS 14

Thanks

AJ

Thank you for the clarification upon the issue you’re facing AJHijazi.

With the iPhone not automatically connecting to the Wi-Fi network it would be recommended to complete the steps in the article below.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network

While this article references not being able to connect to Wi-Fi at all, these steps can still be helpful. If you continue to have issues after completing those steps it would be recommended to leave feedback via the Feedback Assistant application as previously mentioned.

Another step to help reach a resolution would be to return to an official release of iOS. You can find the steps for removing iOS beta in the following article.

How to uninstall iOS beta software

If you continue to have issues after uninstalling the iOS beta, contacting Apple is the right next step. You can find their information via the Get Support website.

Take care!

Hello AJHijazi,

It sounds as though your iPhone is showing that it’s connected to your Wi-Fi network, but you’re not able to load content in data enabled apps. Apple Support Communities is a great place for help! iOS 15 is still in beta testing, and providing feedback via the Feedback Assistant application may be the right route for reaching a resolution. You can find the steps for providing feedback via the Apple Beta Software Program website.

If your iPhone is connecting to the Wi-Fi network successfully. Can you clarify if the content isn’t loading in all applications, or only some apps? If the issue is specific to an application you may find the following article helpful.

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

If the issue is related to an Apple service, the iTunes Store, or the App Store try the steps outlined in the article below.

If you can’t connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services

If you’re having a different issue please let us know in more detail about what’s going on. We look forward to your response.
