I. Start with a Backup:

Important: Prior to all of this be certain to create a backup of your new Mac. That way, you can have something to restore from the Mac from, should anything go wrong from here on out.

II. Next, perform the following:

A. Have a Time Machine Backup of the Old Mac?

If so Use Migration Assistant to import items. Once imported, delete as desired.

B. Use iCloud:

On a Mac:

Enabled items in Apple ID on your Mac:

1. Go to: System Preferences
2. Click: Apple ID
3. Enable: [each item] (so that it has a check next to it).

C. Where Else to Check:

3. eMail
4. Mac Device
5. Cloud Storage
6. Android Phone
7. USB Flash Drive
8. External Hard drive
9. Secure Digital Card
10. Compact Flash Card
