MacBook on OS Catalina no longer scrolls smoothly inside open windows

Hello:

In the past few das my MacBook has lost the ability to scroll smoothly. Scrolling is now annoyingly jumpy, and it is impossible to easily read a long page that requires scrolling. The problem occurs in a variety of applications, ranging from Word to Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Opera.

What is going on? How can I fix this?

Thank you,

Peter

Did you try restarting your mac? Any difference?

Assuming you did:

1) try restarting in Safe Mode, and then restart normally again

2) If the problem persists: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.

Any Third Party Applications that will interfere with the normal operation of the OS, alter, modify, remove or delete or attempt to do so is an invitation for disaster and may require a Reinstallation of the OS.

The above includes AntiVirus, Disk Cleaner, Optimizers, Un-installers, etc installed which should be removed as per Developers Instructions.
