Do I need to be paying for iCloud storage?
how do I know if I need iCloud storage. I am paying for it but I don’t really know if I need it

Check how much iCloud storage you’re using -> Check your iCloud storage usage online or on any device - Apple Support
If you’re using more than the default free 5GB, you need to pay for the additional storage.
