Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Mail

When I move a mail item from inbox to a specific folder, next time I open mail, the item is back in my inbox.


This has only started happening in the last week or so.


Any thoughts on why and how to resolve?

You can rebuild individual mail boxes

Rebuild mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support


If the issue persist the go to way to sort anomalies is to delete the account and add it back in

Add or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support



IMAP stays on the server.

POP removes from server once downloaded—therefore to preserves (for ex Inbox) create a folder and move the content to "On My Mac"
