Modifying iPhone preorder
I signed up for the iPhone 13 preorder on Wednesday, and also applied for the Apple credit card at the same time. On Thursday, I realized I ordered the wrong case and wanted to change it. After talking with an Apple Specialist, they suggested canceling the order and assured me I could place another right after with the correct case.
After they canceled my order, I was unable to preorder again because the previous order was still counting against my balance. I talked to Apple support and Goldman Sachs all day yesterday and kept getting passed back and forth between departments. Apple told me it would take 24 hours to remove the charge from my card, while Goldman said it takes 30 days.
Either way, I am unable to purchase an iPhone now and even if I ordered on a different card, I still wouldn't get the iPhone until over a month from now. No one I talked to was able or willing to help solve this issue for me.
So, Apple support canceled my order, assured me I could place the order again, and then refused to help fix the issue they caused. Now I am stuck with a useless credit card.
