Sound randomly stops working and won't come back unless I restart computer

I have a MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020). Recently, I've noticed that the sound randomly stops working. Once the sound stops working I have to restart my computer in order for the sound to work again. This is the only way it starts to work. It's pretty frustrating. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Hi,

If your MacBook Air has Intel Processor, resetting NVRAM could solve sound related issues.

If it doesn't help, try to run Apple Diagnostics if it reports audio related error(VFF001, VFF002, and VFF003).
