Can’t log into Apple TV app on LG smart tv

Hello - our new television came with the Apple App installed but i am unable to log in. It accepts Apple ID and then asks for password but keeps telling me either password or id incorrect, they aren’t.

2021 model OLED55B16LA - how can I use the app?
