My Apple TV won't allow me to login with my Apple ID. What am I doing wrong?

I'm entering my Apple ID to access Apple TV at the Computers prompt but it isn't working. I verified my password to be sure I had it right, but still no luck. What am I doing wrong?

You may have 2 factor authentificaiton turn on. If that is correct, after it prompts you for your Apple ID password:

Enter Apple ID password
A message will be sent to your iPhone or iPad with a code.
Re-enter your Apple ID password with the code immediately after it.

Example:

Apple ID password is: ABC12345

Passcode sent to the other device is Art*&^

Enter: ABC12345Art*&^
