Has anyone else been experiencing the iPhone 12 accidentally switching to speaker during the call and blasting their ear? So loud it actually hurts. Never used to have this problem with my previous iPhone. Almost as though it’s more sensitive? Maybe my ear is accidentally hitting the sound/speaker icon? Keeps happening and I’m not sure if there’s a way to change the sensitivity, but man does it hurt when it happens!

Do you have a case or screen protector on your iPhone? If you can, try testing for the issue with these removed. It sounds like something is affecting the proximity sensor that would normally prevent this from happening.

I am having the exact same problem! Usually happens when the "low battery" banner pops-up or the "lost network" banner pops-up. For some reason the screen always illuminates, and I engage de loudspeaker with my cheek.
This is extremely annoying and makes me so angry each time it happens. He ear is beeping for hours. What a stupid idea to put a loud speaker in the same place as normal speaker...
Hi, I am experiencing the same problem. My phone case does not interfere with the proximity sensor. When it happens, it is SO Loud. The occurrences are very random (or so seem to me). Please help. I'm down to one good ear and I need to protect it.
