4K 30fps ProRes: How much storage per minute?

Hi

I'm going to buy the iPhone 13 Pro Max. The Prores feature is tantalizing, but on deciding on the 512gb or 1tb options, I have a question.

4K 30fps ProRes: How much storage is used per minute?

I'm hoping you know for sure.

I don’t think it’s yet known which ProRes format variant iPhone 13 supports. Data rates vary based on codec type, image content, frame size, and frame rate. As an example though, for ProRes 422 HQ  at 4K 30p the target data rate is 943 Mb/s or 7.07 GB/min or 424 GB/hr. Also, 4K 30p requires an iPhone with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage.

Thank you so much for your succinct reply.

Can I ask this:—if 4K from my iPhone can be choppy playing in FCPX on my mid 2015 MBPro, would 4K Prores be even more problematic?

Maybe, because in a sense it’s optimized, it wouldn’t. Or, for argument, maybe being much larger than h.264 or heic, it wud have trouble playing smoothly.

Thanks again.
