Just updated an 8plus to 14.8 and all the Lock Screen and Home Screen text are now black instead of white and I can hardly read them (clock, app names, battery power, signal strength, etc.) against the background. I searched these forums and found a mention of going into settings/accessibility and trying classic invert but that doesn’t help as it changes the background as well. Anyone know how to change the text back to white?

I played around in the ‘settings’ option and found in ‘wallpaper’ that if I enabled ‘dark appearance dims wallpaper’ this actually works to turn ALL the text white again. This worked!! This is not how the description is worded for the tool tip but considering how Apple hides things in menus, not unexpected.

•I did not change backgrounds when this happened.
•restarting the phone did not do anything.
•I just tried different backgrounds and text stays black or turns a bluish gray on dark backgrounds which is still very difficult to see. Text won’t turn white.
