I carry one ID and CC on the back of my iPhone X. If that CC is metal CC, then it interferes with the NFC prohibiting me from paying with my iPhone (without removing the metal CC from the case) at the terminal. If I upgrade to an IPhone 13 with a MagSafe wallet and carry a metal CC in the wallet, will the metal CC interfere with the ability to pay with my phone at the terminal?
I currently have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and I use the current MagSafe Wallet with 1 CC which is Metal (Chase Sapphire) and 1 ID. I have never had a issue with the CC interfering while making a payment using the iPhone.
You are using an iPhone X and therefore cannot use a MagSafe Wallet however you are using something to keep the cards stuck to the back of your iPhone X. I believe that the combination of your CC and the method used to adhere to the back of your iPhone (Case, Glued Sleeve etc) could be the issue.
