What is your model Apple TV? Identify your Apple TV model - Apple Support

What is its version system software?

If content looks unusually dark all over (i.e. not just a night scene), then there may be an issue in settings. If you have an HDR capable Apple TV box, but not a HDR capable screen, then that mismatch could cause contrast issues with the wrong settings.
