Hello playtime_Nittin.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand that the edges of the trackpad for your MacBook Air M1 are unresponsive. It's important for your MacBook Air M1 to work properly, and we will be glad to assist. First, we would recommend a restart to see if that helps. Addtionally, try adjusting the trackpad preferences:

If the issue persists, Contact Apple for support and service

Cheers.

Hi,

I had bought this MacBook 2 weeks ago. Restarted many times till today.

already checked and used all the options available in trackpad>>point & click>>Light, medium, Firm.

But no luck.

It's completely a hardware issue.

And I am sure, Apple will have to recall all the defective device considering this a major issue.

You have very bad guys appointed as service engineers in India through third party like Reliance Retail.

I would like an Apple representative to visit me so that I may let him have the exact issue on the spot provided he may not be a third party engineer.

The MacBook was already taken to service centre on 15th-Sep-21

I encountered highly unprofessional staff who refused to acknowledge the issue.

I told them the trackpad was not clicking on Left & Right edges all the time when clicked, they provided me another two M1 and asked if they were acting in same way.

I checked and found both of them were also faulty.

They replied because all the three MacBooks M1 were reacting the same way then that was not an issue.

But, Everyone knows throughout the world that there has been many types of issues with apple product in bulk or in specific lot or series or batch. In past, many times the entire batch has been found faulty.

I can make a video also if you need.
