Recently deleted apps battery usage

My battery usage percentage by app keeps showing time spent on recently deleted apps. I have not deleted anything recently(over a week ago I may have deleted an app)

If I check back later the recently deleted app battery usage has switched to settings usage.

I have seen this question in multiple places with no good answer. Is this a glitch??

iPhone SE, iOS 14

It is showing up in the last 24 hours of battery usage and sometimes in random days and times in the last 10 days of battery usage details.

I will just have a random one minute of battery usage by deleted apps.

I can’t make any sense of it.

Also, why will it show as battery usage by deleted apps when I look and when I go back to look at the same date and time later it will be gone and instead-battery percentage used by settings will have replaced it. (to be clear it no longer shows battery percentage used by deleted apps, but the settings usage percentage will be higher)

Thank you for elaborating. That does indeed sound strange. As the amount of battery supposedly used by these deleted apps is negligible, however, this issue looks to be largely cosmetic and can likely be ignored.

If you would like to take further steps to eliminate this issue, however, I would suggest backing up your iPhone and restoring it as a new device using iTunes. You can do this by following the steps here to make a backup and here for steps on how to restore. Restoring your device from backup should prevent these deleted apps from showing in your settings.

Yes. I would not suspect the issue to occur following a restore from backup. As this issue looks to largely be cosmetic, however, you do not need to restore immediately unless you feel a need to resolve this issue as soon as possible. From what you have described, it does not sound like your iPhone's battery life is actually being impacted.

One more thing to check, however, is to verify whether or not you are offloading unused apps. If your iPhone's storage is almost full, it may be offloading unused apps to save storage space. These offloaded apps may be the ones that are showing up as "deleted."

Thanks!

Thank you for the quick reply. Is the usage for these deleted apps showing up under the "Last 24 Hours" usage information or the "Last 10 Days" usage information? Having apps deleted within the ten day window showing in the latter is normal as this option details historical battery usage information.

If you haven't already, please also ensure that you are running the latest version of iOS available for your iPhone.

Thanks!
