iPhone and Text messages

It is driving me crazy that on the iPhone if I am concentrating on something and my 12 person family starts to text message I have to leave whatever I am doing on the phone and go to text and then back.

Sometimes I have many people trying to text. I am busy doing something else but there is no way to avoid the text message at the top of my page except to go to the text.

I was happy just to have a ding and could reply when I was ready.

Please fix this!

Hello! If you get a message notification at the top of your screen you can quickly respond by swiping down on the notification banner or swipe up to get rid of it. If you do not want a banner notification or anything on-screen you can go to settings>notifications>Messages and you can edit your notifications there. If you don’t want notifications for just that specific chat go to messages>the specific chat you want>info and then there is an option wether you would like to mute that chat or not.
