Will a M1 Macbook Matte Case damage the hydraulics?

I have a M1 Macbook Matte Case on, because I want to protect it from minor and major scratches/bumps. I have heard that it will damage the hydraulics. Is this true? Does it do more good than harm?

Any covering that alters air flow through the case interior or over and around the case exterior can cause overheating. Whether or not it does is always dependent on the individual machine, ambient temps, usage patterns and etc. If it does take it off, but then you've spent money for nothing.

Seems to me a more practical solution is a sleeve of some sort to protect your MacBook when not in use and being transported.

Based on Personal Experience:

Using a hard case would be unwise. It is not a good idea to use, as it caused my Mac to overheat consistently, eventually leading to failure.

Use of a Sleeve:

So, what I use is a sleeve, and then I take it out of it, when I need to use my Mac. Once done using my Mac, I let it cool for a bit, and then close the screen, placing it back in the sleeve.  What I use: MOSISO Laptop Sleeve - Amazon
