Why is it taking forever to verify my number
I can’t seem to get my number verified on my new iPhone12 pro ive ordered any ideas on what to do after waiting a long time?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It appears that you're unable to use your phone number with iMessage and we'd like to help. Is this a new phone number that you're using with your new device or have you used this number with iMessage before? Are you able to send regular SMS or MMS messages?
