Auto Straighten Handwriting in Notes

Im using iPad Pro 12.9 with apple pencil 2.

when im handwriting in notes it “snaps” or predictive finishes my lines.

For example when I finish a stroke the end of the stroke snaps back a few pixels to complete what it thinks is my line. i find it highly distracting when trying to jot a thought or capture something in writing.

Its like im focusing on a small animation vs the thought in my head.

How do i turn off or adjust this setting?

2021… can you help me find the setting?

( i only have a Paperlike screen protector on the screen. Im using the current iOs [14.7.1] and im using the standard notes app… not a third party note taking, sketching, or journaling app)
