Apple TV 4K blinking white LED 1 blink every second

Hello,

so my APPLE TV 4K has been blinking white steady every second with no output at all. I’ve tried all troubleshooting methods in other apple discussions such as unplugging for like 2 mins, holding menu and play, holding menu and home and nothing worked. So I got frustrated and I went to the apple store and they told me that the repair would cost $150 so I decided to buy a new one instead.

I later called the apple phone support line since I wasn’t confident in the Genius bar’s response in-store (the guy looked like he lacked experience on this problem)

The phone rep troubleshot the problem and arrived to the conclusion that this is a known issue with 4K APPLE TVs and she set me for an appointment in store referencing the problem and the troubleshooting steps taken documented on a case number. She said they would be replacing it with or without warranty since it’s happened to many customers (I couldn’t find too many customers complaints online though)

I have yet to go to the store for my appointment which is in 5 days. But in the mean time, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and have they had any luck with apple replacing their device at no charge since they claim it’s a know issue.
