Long story short... in four years I've never backed up my phone. Need to get a new phone and ive got 55GB of photos and vids I need saved. Its saving new pics ive taken recently because I turned on the backup. My big question is what's the fastest way to upload all those pics and vids. I've tried through the iphone just trying to upload 200MB and my phone kicks me off the icloud. send help!

That is a great question! Yes, your internet connection does have a lot to do with it. For the iCloud Library to update those pictures you'll want to stay connected to power and a Wi-Fi network as long as possible. This will help to stop the interruptions in the update to the library.

ive tried uploading them via phone and iCloud.com. I have over 4,000 pictures and videos. Reading your reply thought helped me see that internet is a huge factor in what may be causing my problem. When I “back up” my phone it completes sometimes. But not all of my pictures/videos are there. It’s uploaded 700 of the 4,000. It won’t upload the year 2020 but does so to the other years. If my internet was really good do you think it would upload all of them? I live in a rural area where the internet cuts out repeatedly.
