I received an email stating that my iCloud account has been upgraded to iCloud free of charge however, as I followed direction to upgrade iCloud attempts to charge me $9.99.
Go to Settings > {Your Name} > iCloud
You may see an update about iCloud+ new features. Tap that first to agree to terms and conditions.
The real test is when you complete a form or sign up for an account.
Then you automatically have iCloud+
You have to be an iCloud subscriber to get iCloud+, and $9.99 in the USA would be the price for the 2TB plan.
Thank you for your response. I’m currently subscribed to the 200gb plan and have been since December 2019.
I thought so however, when I click on “Hide My Email” I see the image below.
