iPad 6 disable multitask help, I have the iPad 6 and iOS 15.0.2 I hate the multitask as it covers areas on some of my apps. i have looked up how to turn it off but my iPad doesn't have the options they are showing. is there another way that I'm not seeing?

How can I disable multitasking? It is too complex for me. I am old and just want to use the iPad to do one thing at a time. Sometimes an awkward guesture results in multiple open windows for example by safari. I hate that. Please help.

What is on my mind ? Google’s Chrome does not enter a multitasking mode. This feature should not be the default in Safari, and the user should be able to disable it without a lot of fuss. Why doesn’t Apple publish these features better instead of surprising the end-user. Chrome is sounding like a good option.

This "feature" is very annoying and unusable on an iPad mini. Every time I try to select a tab in my browser, instead the selection for splitting the view comes up. This just underlines why I will never buy an Apple phone, Apple thinks it knows better than the users what the users want. I submitted feedback, but IMO Apple should look at people posting complaints and respond more quickly.

Yeah I have a lot of unwanted taps selecting the split screen option instead of url. The two are too close together on a small screen .
