How to care for your MacBook power cable

Hello Everyone,

Here's a niche question.

I have a 2013 MacBook Pro and a brand new MacBook Air.

I have transported my Pro almost everywhere I've been and consequently had to carry the power cable along with it. In my youth, I was taught to transport cables in 'gentle' loops, rather than tight bundles and have used that technique with the Pro's cable.

My question is, in its dotage, the Pro's cable is showing signs of 'crinkling' and I was wondering if there was a safer method that would prevent damage to the power cable of the Air when I start to use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

For cables I could not agree more, 'gentle' loops will twist the internal wires less and goes a long way to prolong the serviceable. life.

I do not know what else to add here...

The magsafe charging cables have always seems to be made cheaply and can fail with no undo stress. If you are under warranty these magsafe chargers and cable are covered under hardware.
