MacBook Case and Dust Plug

Is the MacBook casing good for the laptops hinges/hydraulics? I heard the case would damage it. And would it do good more than harm? Lastly, would port dust plugs damage the air circulation of the laptop?

Hand sanitiser spill on MacBook Hand sanitiser spilled in my bag, and my MacBook Air was inside so now there is some hand sanitiser in the charging ports (USB-C). Also, the corner of the screen is damaged. I tried my best to take the sanitiser out of the ports, but I think there is still some of it inside. I’ve left the MacBook upside down over night in hopes that the rest of it can come out. I have 3 questions: Is there any way I can clean out the ports and ensure all the sanitiser is out? If after a while I put a charging plug in there, could it start a fire or something because of the sanitiser residue inside? Can the sanitiser travel into the logic board and slowly destroy the computer? It was operating fine when it happened, everything was working. I’ve shut it down for now.

Cases for 2021 macbook pro Hello, I am wondering if anyone can recommend a good case for a mac book pro 2021 14 inch. I recently bought one and I see that there are tons of hard cases available, but have also seen that some people say that hard cases can ruin the hinges and cause the laptop to overheat, as well as trap dust and debris. I can't seem to find any alternatives and was wondering what others are using Thanks in advance, Laura

The MacBook cases wont affect hinges/hydraulics in a way that impedes normal use. If you wanted my opinion, I would get a shell case form UAG or Speck as the cases they offer are durable.

Dust port plugs are a good thing to get as they prevent your ports in the MacBook from getting dust/clogging the fans. I have worked on laptops in the past and I have noticed a huge difference when it comes to using plugs
