moving an adult account, it’s my wife currently on her family sharing, but their 2TB plan is about to reach limit, so I upgraded my subscription to move her to our family (newlyweds), only option appears is to leave family, will it lost her data (400GB) on their current family sharing? Or how to do it correctly without missing any data stored on iCloud? Many thanks

Thank you very much for your help, it's just that we are wary of losing the files, I just found it today on reddit using VPN (it's blocked on where I live) that if you leave a family then if you had files more than 5 Gb of the free than you have 28/30 days to upgrade your own storage or have another shared iCloud storage before your files get deleted. Just need a reassurance as we're kinda confused reading the "What happens when you leave a family part". Anw, it's done smoothly so thank you.
