Creating links to a file what are working on macOS and iOS

Want to link different files to the Apple Notes. Can do this with Hook, Hook links don't work in iOS.

1. Is there a way to create a link to a file, what would work in macOS and iOS? Something similar to the way you can link an email from Apple Mail or a note in Apple Notes to Apple Reminders.

2. Is there a way to share/create a link to a file in Apple Reminders? Would like to link a file to a reminder, so I wouldn't have to search the file around, then I have to work with it.

I can create a link to a file using Hook app, but Hook links don't work in iOS. The symbolic link also works only in macOS, and the way the link is displayed (as file icon) is not what I want. I would like to have it as "URL". If the latter is not possible, then file icon would work as well.

Hello Arombard,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're trying to add a link for a specific file into Notes and Reminders on your Apple devices. We'd like to help.

Take a look at Write and format notes on Mac for some information on creating notes and adding links.

On you Mac, you can try to generate a link for a file by opening Safari > click File from the app menu > Open File > choose your file > the file should then open in a new tab with a URL you can copy and paste into your Notes or Reminders.

Take care.
